Job
Description:
As a
Manufacturing
Engineer you
will be
responsible
for
providing
engineering
assistance
to logically
troubleshoot
and
implement
solutions
for our
manufacturing
facility.
This
includes the
development,
procurement,
and
transition
of new
manufacturing
processes,
as well as
the
enhancement
of existing
manufacturing
process.
You will
perform the
following
responsibilities:
1.
Analyze
manufacturing
activities,
workflow,
material
flow, and
manufacturing
processes.
2.
Make
recommendations
for
improvements;
troubleshoot
problems and
develop
necessary
corrective
actions.
3.
Provide
transition
point for
prototype
parts to
production.
4.
Assist and
lead FMEA
development.
5.
Work hands
on to
resolve
manufacturing
issues.
6.
Maintain
current
product
lines,
improve
manufacturing
efficiency,
improve
quality, and
maintain
regulatory
compliance.
7.
Inspect
performance
of
machinery,
equipment,
tools to
verify their
efficiency
and
investigate
and initiate
corrective
action of
problems and
deficiencies
to ensure
product
quality.
8.
Maintain,
and design
fixtures and
tooling to
better both
machining
and assembly
departments.
Job
Requirements:
This
position
requires the
following
skills and
attributes:
1.
BSME in
Mechanical/Manufacturing
Engineering
or related
discipline
(Associates
degree will
be valid
with proper
work
experience)
2.
A minimum of
5 years in a
manufacturing
engineering
environment;
medical
device or
FDA
regulated
industry
preferred.
Assembly and
Precision
Machine shop
experience
desired.
3.
Communication
of technical
information
and problems
in great
detail, both
verbally and
in writing
to technical
staff.
4.
Excellent
problem
solving and
trouble
shooting
skills.
5.
Responsible
for driving
multiple
improvement
programs
through
implementation
concurrently.
6.
Ability to
carry out
and develop
protocols
and
validations
for any new
equipment.
7.
Ability to
read and
understand
engineering
drawings,
including
geometric
dimensions
and
tolerances.
8.
Working
knowledge of
inspection
instruments
and
techniques.
9.
Ability to
design
manufacturing
and assembly
tooling and
processes
and
providing
proper
documentation
of them.
10.
A working
knowledge of
Lean
Manufacturing
techniques
(5S, SMED,
etc…), FMEA,
standard
machine shop
equipment,
assembly
tooling,
metal
working
processes,
and ISO9001.
11.
Familiarity
and
proficiency
with
computer
programs
such as
Microsoft
office
(MSWord,
MSExcel,
MSPowerPoint),
ERP, and CAD
programs (AutoCad,
Catia V5).
Catia V5 is
preferred.
12.
Must be
self-motivated
and a team
player.
