Responsibilities include concept formulation and
requirements analysis; interpretation and
modeling of biomedical data (electromagnetic
radiation/tissue interaction models, data
reduction and parametric modeling, time series
and spectral analysis, system identification,
signal decomposition); signal processing
architecture design and implementation (linear
and non-linear signal processing, adaptive
filtering, statistical signal processing, signal
modulation and demodulation, fast algorithm
design and implementation, multi-rate signal
processing, optimization theory); specification
generation; test planning and procedures for
integration and verification testing. Requires
degree in biomedical engineering, computer
science, electrical engineering, or physics;
computer controlled device experience, and
in-depth knowledge of signal processing
techniques with more than three years of
practical experience. Must have experience with
least one algorithm-modeling tool (MathCAD,
Matlab, SPW). C/C++ programming experience
preferred. Requires excellent conceptual,
analytical and problem solving ability, strong
math and communication skills.
